The Process
There is a process to follow in achieving a licence. Heliwest can assist in this process, provide the necessary forms, and advise on the best approach for you. Take a Trial Introductory Flight An ideal way to experience training at Heliwest, this one-off opportunity involves a pre-flight briefing and a flight in which you take control of the aircraft. This will count towards your licence should you choose to continue training. As a no obligation flight it allows you to ascertain if you are comfortable with all aspects of training at Heliwest. It is also an opportunity to discuss your particular requirements with an instructor.
Get an Aviation Reference Number (ARN) from CASA This will be your identifier with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for the rest of your career. Have an aircrew medical. Class 2 for PPL or Class 1 for CPL
