> Papua New Guinea Operations

Heliwest have established a joint venture with Papua New Guinea operator, Helifix, to provide helicopter services to the region.  The operation is based at the airport in the capital city of Port Moresby.

Two immaculate Bell 212's have been delivered and are now conducting operations in the area.  These heavy lift helicopters are capable of a wide variety of work and have proven to be a welcome addition in Papau New Guinea.

The 212 has a fifteen-seat configuration, with one pilot and fourteen passengers. In cargo configuration the 212 has an internal capacity of 220 ft³ (6.23 m³). An external load of up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) can be carried.
