Heliwest congratulates student pilot Irvine (Hutch) Hutchinson who celebrated his 100^th birthday with a spectacular flight on Tuesday 18^th May 2010.

Hutch took up helicopter pilot training at the ripe old age of 97. His celebratory flight was originally intended to take him over his home at suburban Joondanna, just north of Perth.

It took a slight diversion.

Hutch has been an Eagles supporter since West Coast joined the AFL competition in 1987 and, while he doesn't get to too many games these days he still watches every game on television. Hutch is also a very big fan of Eagles coach John Worsfold.
