Established in 1992 Heliwest is a wholly owned and operated Australian business that has grown into one of Australasia’s leading helicopter companies and is the largest onshore operator in Western Australia.
The Company has a strategic alliance with Abu Dhabi Aviation, creating a powerful alliance with one of the world’s largest non-military fleets of rotary aircraft, capable of servicing major onshore and offshore clients across Australasia and around the globe.
Heliwest was established by aviation practitioners and entrepreneurs Alan Bailey and David Grimes – a formidable combination in aviation; both are pilots and both hold qualifications in business management as well as aircraft engineering.
Today Alan and David are just as involved in the company as they were when they set about creating Heliwest, filling the positions of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer respectively.
